I was tempted to call this blog "Candice, or Optimism," ala Candide, but the truth is, I am only optimistic where appropriate, and I am nothing like Candide. On the other hand, I am a person with many interests and much to write about. I hope you enjoy your visit here. (Apologies to Douglas Adams for mangling his title.)

Dragon Dreams
I love the Dragon Dreams designs (especially the ones she does with Theresa Wentzler). I was just perusing Dragon Dreams patterns at 1-2-3 Stitch -- Joanne really does have a nice selection of Dragon Dreams charts -- and I fell in love with one called "Guard This Keep." I can't buy it right now because I need to eat and survive until the 15th (small matter, isn't it?) but maybe I'll order it later. It would be great on my door!

Hello Candice,
Thanks for the bloglink from Twitter. I don't do any crocheting and I've never been to St. Louis.
However, it pains me that I said something to someone else that obviously affected you.
I have had a couple of quick discussions with people on Twitter and may have been abrasive when one tackled me on the "swine flu" issue.
I have apologized to both of them, but I cannot find the original tweets. Not even sure that is what you are referring to.
I'm issuing you a general apology. Twitter goes extremely fast and sometimes my opinions outrun my brain! This is further complicated by the fact that -- once said -- the opinion goes out to everyone and could be open to big misinterpretation.
Cordially,
Ellen Kimball (Radio_Lady)
